Uploading The Images How To Upload The Skins To Bebo
OK, so now you have your 7 images created and are ready to upload them. This section will be petty easy as long as you followed the previous step correctly.
Log into your account and on your profile click Change Skins, then click Roll Your Own.
You now need to upload the images. Click Upload Graphics.
You will see each image name. Click browse and upload the images. You MUST upload the same image as in the name. So if it says:
nav_bg 760x40
max size 10K
You must upload the nav_bg.jpg/gif image you created.
If you followed the previous section correctly, all the images will upload correctly, otherwise you may see one of these problems:
Uploading Issues
One of the main problems people have with this is that when they go to upload the images, they have of the following problems:
Incorrect File Name
Incorrect File Dimensions
Unsupported File Extension
File Size Too Large
This can be fustrating when you have spent ages making a good skin. So
i will show you how to aviod these problems now. I will explain which
each means and how to correct/aviod it.
Incorrect File Name
Pretty self explanatory. Basically means you need to change the file name. You can find the file names here. Make sure they are named exactly as shown (no capital letters). If you used the template images i made, this won't be an issue for you unless you change the name.
Incorrect File Dimensions
This means that the 'width' and 'height' of the image are either too big or too small. You can find the file dimensions here. If you used the template images i made, this won't be an issue for you unless you changed the dimensions.
Unsupported File Extension
Bebo will only allow you to upload either .jpg or .gif files. When saving them images, please select .jpg or .gif as the file format/type. Please refer to 'Saving Images' for more info.
File Size Too Large
This is probably the main problem people have when uploading their skins. Bebo is very strict about how large the files can be. Please read how big each file can be here. If you need help lowering the file size, please read the Saving Images tutorial.
Once all the image files are uploaded you then need to edit the stylesheets in the next section.
