Bebo have made it alot harder to download music from bebo and blocked the previous method from working. So we have found a new way of downloading it.
NOTE: Downloading copyright content is illegal. You may only download content that is either not copyrighted or you have permission to download it.
Method:
Firstly you will need to download Opera, an internet browser like Internet Explorer and Firefox. Download it free here: www.opera.com/download/. Install and run Opera.
Now, in Opera, go to the page which has the song you want to download on it. This will usually be a bands page, but can also be a playlist. Leave it on this page, dont click anything yet.
You now need to clear the cache. You will need to do this each time you download a song. To do this go to Tools > Delete Private Data > Details... then tick the box which says Delete Entire Cache then click Delete
You now need to play the song until it has completely buffered. If you are on a bands page or playlist, you can see when this is done by clicking the play symbol. You will then see numbers appear which go up to 100. It has completely buffered when this number reaches 100 and then dissapears. If you are still not sure, just play the song until it finishes, that means it has all buffered.
When it has finished buffering, and only when it finishes, go to: Tools > Advanced > Cache. You will then see page with Filenames, Sizes and Addresses. These will mostly be images and files ending in. xml and .js. But the song you just played will also be there. So you will need to look for it. It will most likely end in .flv and be about 2500000 in size.
The address is where the song is saved on the bebo server. You now have two options to download it. The first is to directly download the .flv file to your computer, the second is to download it as a .mp3 file. I don't recommend downloading the .flv file as most music players (Windows Media Player and iTunes) won't play it. I recommend option 2 and download it as a .mp3 music file.
Option 1 - Download .flv (Not Recommended):
To download as .flv, simply right click and select Save Target As and name the file as the song name.
This will then download the song to your computer as a Flash Video File
Option 2 -Download .mp3 - (Recommended):
The easiest way to download the song directly to your computer in a .mp3 format it to use an online .flv converter like www.flv2mp3.com. Go to that website and where it says Select FLV file to convert to MP3 select URL. Now copy and paste the song address from Opera. (eg. http://i4.bebo.com/035a/14/song/2007/09/11/01/3177121639a4737004223c495903.flv?rlc=M). Click Upload. You will then get a message saying thanks for downloading and your download will begin in about 5 secs. Enter and song name and save to your computer. You will then have the song saved on your computer in a .mp3 format.
I hope this tutorial is easy to follow. I don't want the blame for your downloading copyright music, so please make sure you either have permission before, or don't download copyrighted content.
